Only one change to All Black starting line up

Victor Vito replacing Jerome Kaino is the only change to the run-on XV for this weekend's match vs Wales as Graham Henry seems intent on using the Steinlager series to test a few rookies.  Not a bad policy either as the Northern Hemisphere teams were pretty disappointing across the board last weekend (except Scotland of all people).

What is harder to understand is how Richard Kahui can replace Zac Guildford on the bench in one of three changes there (the others being the return of Woodcock for Tialata & Big Red for Kaino).

It has been a rapid rise for Vito given he looked out of his depth in the 15 man game only about 2 seasons ago.  The All Black coaches have been looking for this "loose forward X-factor" for a while & having tried Thomson & Messam (not to mention Lauaki) Vito is the latest to get a shot.  Let's hope they give him more of a chance than Messam who was very unfairly discarded in my view (as shared by James McOnie).
